I am a clinical health psychologist who specializes in the relationship between physical and psychological health. The way that you feel in your body affects your thoughts and feelings and vice versa. I love to help people figure out how to manage all the things that life throws at them while balancing taking care of themselves physically and emotionally. I know how tricky it is to prioritize self-care, especially while living with an illness. I have spent my career understanding the interplay between what we think, feel, and do and how those things affect our health. I enjoy using this information to give people the support and tools to feel their best and focus on what matters most.

I completed my doctoral training at the University of South Florida, where my research and clinical work examined how psychological factors, like stress and depression, are related to physical health, such as obesity, diabetes, immune function and cardiovascular disease. After earning my Ph.D., I returned to my home state of Pennsylvania. I live in suburban Philadelphia with my husband and two kids and spend much of my free time shuttling my kids to practices or cheering from the sidelines of baseball games or gymnastics meets. My favorite form of self-care is getting great sleep, which I aim to balance with walking (and sometimes running…slowly) and lifting. I’m a sucker for a well-researched self-help book and the occasional feel-good novel.

I spent the first part of my career serving Veterans at VA Medical Centers. Working with patients and providers in specialty areas throughout the hospital provided me with knowledge of various medical conditions and the impact they have on patients’ lives. I know that every patient has a different experience and aim to meet people where they are to support them in thriving in their unique life.

I typically draw from a variety of therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Meaning Centered Psychotherapy, and Motivational Interviewing. This blend of techniques allows me to provide comprehensive support, fostering personal growth and meaningful change for each individual. My goal is to create a safe and collaborative environment where clients feel empowered to explore their thoughts and feelings and make changes to live a life grounded in their values.
